Although some factors in the pathogenesis of hypertension remain uncertain, the potential pathogenesis includes inappropriate activation of the renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system, oxidative stress, inflammation, impaired insulin‐mediated vasodilatation, increased stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system, and abnormal sodium processing by the kidney [18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23]. This evidence concerns the gene REN and hypertensive disorder.
