ACP5 and diabetes mellitus: Von Kossa staining (Figures 2I, J), double labeling of calcein fluorescence (Figures 2I, K), and TRACP staining (Figures 2I, L) collectively demonstrated that the mineralized bone tissue volume, mineral apposition rate, and bone resorption activity were all significantly reduced in DM mice compared to controls, suggesting a decreased level of bone turnover in DM mice.
