GSDMD-N expression also negatively correlated with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), and positively with serum creatinine (SCR), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (ACR) (Figures 1H–K), suggesting that SGLT2 may contribute to renal dysfunction in DKD through pyroptosis.
