Several recent studies have investigated PD-L1 overexpression across histologic subtypes of TC, particularly in PTC, with many reporting associations with adverse clinicopathological features such as larger tumor size, lymph node metastasis, multifocality, extrathyroidal extension, thyroiditis, and the presence of the BRAFV600E mutation. The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
