In a Phase 2 trial of an anti-APRIL antibody, sibeprenlimab, in patients with IgA nephropathy, the sibeprenlimab-treated group exhibited significant suppression of serum APRIL levels, reduction in proteinuria, and stabilization of eGFR decline at 12 months compared to the placebo group [105]. This evidence concerns the gene TNFSF13 and IgA glomerulonephritis.
