Three genes conferred increased osteoporosis risk: Collagen type VI alpha 2 chain (COL6A2) (OR = 1.001, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.0001–1.0018, P = 0.029) (Fig. 5B-C), Carboxypeptidase X, M14 family member 1 (CPXM1) (OR = 1.005, 95% CI 1.001–1.009, P = 0.018) (Fig. 5B, D), and Matrix Gla protein (MGP) (OR = 1.003, 95% CI 1.001–1.005, P = 0.004) (Fig. 5B, E). This evidence concerns the gene CPXM1 and osteoporosis.
