Our findings implicated CASP3 (odds ratio = 1.25004, 95% CI 1.09498-1.42706, p < 0.001) and CCND1 (odds ratio = 1.55479, 95% CI 1.33389-1.81227, p < 0.001) as being significantly associated with the progression of acute periodontitis. The gene discussed is CASP3; the disease is periodontitis.
