Eosinophils play a key role in the immunopathogenesis of EGPA; they mediate tissue damage, which can be supported by the effectiveness of IL-5-blocking drugs. Innate lymphoid cells encourage eosinophil recruitment, T cells drive inflammation, and B cells contribute by producing ANCA and IgG4 [4]. Here, IL5 is linked to eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis.
