CD36 and congestive heart failure: Compared with the control group, the ATP concentration in the myocardial tissue of rats in the CHF model group was significantly decreased (P < 0.001), FFA levels were significantly increased (P < 0.01; Figures 11A,B), and CD36 and CPT1 protein expressions were significantly decreased (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01; Figures 11C–F), indicating impaired FFA transport and dysregulated energy metabolism in the myocardium of CHF rats.
