IL10 and uterine cervix neoplasm: Regulatory T cells (Tregs) are enriched in the peritumoral stroma of cervical tumors, where they exert suppressive effects on effector T cells via cytotoxic T-lymphocyte–associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) signaling and secretion of inhibitory cytokines such as interleukin-10 (IL-10) and TGF-β: Transforming Growth Factor-β (Figure 1B).
