IGHE and Increased total eosinophil count: Several lines of evidence support this link, including the frequent coexistence of other atopic features, including peripheral eosinophilia, increased total IgE (tIgE), sensitization to specific IgE (sIgE) against inhalant allergens [more frequently observed in adults] and food allergens [more common in children], seasonal symptom fluctuations related to pollen exposure, improvement with elimination diets, and relief of symptoms after introducing steroid treatment.
