QTc normalization was observed following tocilizumab treatment. The mean baseline QTc was longer in RA patients than in controls (422 vs. 412 ms; p < 0.001) and decreased to 406 ms post-treatment, becoming significantly lower than in controls. 12 RA patients initially had QTc ≥ 440 ms versus none of the controls (p = 0.018), and only one remained above this threshold after treatment. Normalization occurred in both male and female patients, and its correlation with CRP reduction underscores the role of systemic inflammation in cardiac repolarization abnormalities in RA [46].
