FISH analysis of a DLBCL tumor revealed an atypical MYC rearrangement with gain and amplification (66% of nuclei, including 34% with a 3–5+ fusion signal plus one green signal (3-ampF1G) and 32% with 3-ampF2G), a BCL2 rearrangement (73% of nuclei), and an IGH::BCL2 fusion (76% of nuclei) (Figure 1a–c). The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
