SWCNTs conjugated with antibody C225 and loaded with 7-ethyl-10-hydroxy-camptothecin (SN38) were used by Lee et al. to realize targeted therapy against EGFR over-expressed colorectal cancer cells, observing a specific binding and controlled release of SN38 and death in HCT116, HT29, and SW620 (negative control) colorectal cancer cell lines within the order of decreasing expression levels of EGFR [165]. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is colorectal cancer.
