Specifically, SNP rs7189628 DNAJA2 (risk allele T, OR = 2.02, 95% CI 1.26–3.24, p = 0.003, pperm = 0.002) was found to increase the risk of severe COVID-19, whereas SNP rs910652 HSPA12B (protective allele C, OR = 0.70, 95% CI 0.53–0.92, p = 0.01, pperm = 0.01) was associated with a reduced risk (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene HSPA12B and COVID-19.
