In the multivariate logistic regression model, a backward selection approach was adopted with variables including age, NBAB, Pitt bacteremia score, septic shock, ventilator, CRRT, Chronic liver disease, prior antibiotic use within 30 days, inappropriateness of empirical antibiotics, carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter spp., primary infection origin (pneumonia, urinary tract infection, skin soft tissue infection), CRP, albumin, and thrombocytopenia (<150,000/μL) (p < 0.05, univariate analysis). Here, CRP is linked to susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
