Similarly, Martinez-Morcillo et al. [35] further supported the role of the visfatin/NAMPT-mediated pathway in psoriasis by demonstrating that inhibiting the NADPH oxidases/NAMPT/PARP/apoptosis-inducing factor mitochondria-associated 1 (AIFM1) axis decreased the expression of pathology-associated genes in human 3D skin models of psoriasis.
