Our screen also identified Pde10a as an interactor of ORF1p in the mouse brain, a PDE almost exclusively expressed in medium spiny neurons of the striatum and a target for treatment of neurological diseases related to basal ganglia function like Huntington’s disease, schizophrenia, and Tourette syndrome (Threlfell et al., 2009). This evidence concerns the gene PDE10A and Huntington disease.
