Using the CEA < 5 ng/mL cutoff point for detecting SCN cysts, 11 out of 15 patients (73.3%) identified with SCN in EUS had a CEA level < 5 ng/mL, resulting in sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of 73.3%, 78.8%, 44%, and 92.8%, respectively (Table 2). The gene discussed is CEACAM5; the disease is severe congenital neutropenia.
