RNA sequencing data from the GSE145699 dataset showed high VRK1 expression in lactate‐treated GBM cell lines.[40] Previous studies have reported that VRK1 regulates cell proliferation, cell cycle, and DNA damage repair‐related therapeutic resistance.[25] Based on these results, we speculate that VRK1 is a key gene in promoting the stemness and proliferation of GSCs through lactate regulation in GBM. This evidence concerns the gene VRK1 and glioblastoma.
