YBX1 is a transcription factor present in embryonic stem cells and various tumors.[55] It is highly expressed in both GBM and neural stem cells.[56] YBX1 has been reported to promote the growth of CSCs and regulate the expression of various stem cell‐related genes, including SOX2, CD10, CD24, and CD44. The gene discussed is SOX2; the disease is glioblastoma.
