Of note, RAB11 has implications in AD pathogenesis as it controls the endosomal recycling of beta‐secretase (Li et al. 2012), and reduced RAB11 levels promote BACE‐mediated APP cleavage and accumulation of pathogenic amyloid‐β (Sultana and Novotny 2022; Udayar et al. 2013). This evidence concerns the gene RAB11A and Alzheimer disease.
