Shikonin and compound 3 K can inhibit PKM and reduce the production of pyruvate, the lactate precursor, thereby (1) disrupting the H4K12la‐driven positive feedback in Alzheimer's disease [50], (2) improving chemotherapy resistance induced by XRCC1‐K247la [57]. The gene discussed is PKM; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
