Key proteins involved in asthma-related contraction, such as MYH11, which forms the thick myosin filaments (Wang et al., 2021), and TAGLN and FLNA, which are involved in stabilizing actin filaments and cell membrane adhesion complexes in ASM (Iwamoto et al., 2018; Razinia et al., 2012), did not show significant changes in their expression or are related with AHR. This evidence concerns the gene TAGLN and asthma.
