ALB and stroke disorder: After adjusting for age and education year, higher odds of cognitive improvement in the second year after stroke were associated with smoking (OR, 3.325 [1.805, 6.125]), lower albumin level (OR, 0.917 [0.857, 0.981]), higher Scheltens BG score (OR, 1.304 [1.081, 1.573]) and lower brain volume (OR, 0.995 [0.993, 0.998]).
