TP53BP1 and Alzheimer disease: To determine the accumulation of DNA damage and the engagement of DDR pathways in this model, we analyzed cerebral cortex, namely isocortex and hippocampal region (specifically the Ammon’s horn) from age-matched 12-month-old wild-type (wt) and 3xTg-AD mice by immunofluorescence with antibodies against γH2AX and 53BP1, two independent and robust markers of DDR activation combined with an antibody against MAP2 to label neurons.
