To confirm that the IL-10 produced by CD4+ T cells in mice that were chronically infected with Pc plays an important role in the establishment and development of chronic subclinical malaria, we depleted CD4+ T cells with a single dose (300 μg/mouse) of anti-CD4 antibody at day 84 p.i. An isotype control mAb was used for comparison. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is malaria.
