Indeterminate QFT-Plus result is often caused by high IFN-γ response levels in the negative control (Nil tube) or a low response in the positive control (mitogen tube) [31,32], a phenomenon which is more common among those who are immunocompromised, HIV positive with low CD4 + cell count, and children [31], who are at risk for TB. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is tuberculosis.
