We have documented 10 patients with focal epilepsy carrying pathogenetic variants (8/10) or variants of uncertain significance (2/10) in the mTORC1 pathway genes (DEPDC5, NPRL3, and MTOR) who developed central apnea in 100% of their seizures, for a total of 31 seizures with respiratory alterations. This evidence concerns the gene DEPDC5 and Central apnea.
