The authors examined plasma concentrations of CRP, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, and IL-1β in 86 patients with MDD (mean age ± SD: 55.1 ± 14.65; 61.63% female) and 57 healthy controls (mean age ± SD: 51 ± 12.7; 66.1% male). Here, CRP is linked to major depressive disorder.
