Overexpression of EIF5A2 can induce EMT to promote liver cancer cell metastasis, and silencing of EIF5A2 can enhance the sensitivity to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in liver cancer cells by blocking the p38 MAPK and JNK/c-Jun/MMP-2 signaling pathways (Wang et al. 2014).
