As was true for OSRC-2 cells, RXF393 cells induced cachexia and hypercalcemia in subcutaneous xenograft assays and these two phenotypes were reversed by PT2399 (Extended Data Fig. 6e-h) and prevented by CRISPR KO of PTHLH without commensurate changes in tumor growth (Extended Data Fig. 6i-n). The gene discussed is PTHLH; the disease is hypercalcemia disease.
