CHCHD2 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Seo et al. (2010) demonstrated that the overexpression of CHCHD2 promotes cell migration, while its knockdown has the opposite effect, as revealed through functional genetic screening of novel cell migration-promoting genes. This suggests that CHCHD2 may serve as a determinant gene for cell migration. Moreover, CHCHD2 has been implicated in the regulation of cell migration and angiogenesis in both renal cell carcinoma (Cheng et al., 2019) and hepatocellular carcinoma (Yao et al., 2019).
