CHCHD2 and breast carcinoma: Recently, some scholars suggested that mitochondrial autoimmunity is a major factor in breast cancer development by reviewing the studies on mitochondrial autoimmunity and breast cancer development, and CHCHD2 can mediate mitochondrial function to promote the proliferation and migration of cancerous cells, which in turn supports the validation of the involvement of mitochondrial autoimmunity in carcinogenesis (Madrid et al., 2020).
