Functionally, CTCF overexpression in TANs enhanced cytoskeletal remodeling, ribosome biogenesis, and migration toward CRC cells—effects that were attenuated by HIF-1α silencing under hypoxia (Figures S9B-D), suggesting that HIF-1α-dependent CTCF induction promotes the Neu2 phenotype. The gene discussed is NEU2; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
