As shown in Table 1, compared to those with lower Dectin-1+ cell counts, patients with higher Dectin-1+ cell counts developed more severe renal functional injury including significantly elevated levels of serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, urinary protein, urinary protein-to-creatinine ratio, but significantly declined in eGFR and serum albumin levels, and developed much more severe renal fibrosis. This evidence concerns the gene CLEC7A and renal fibrosis.
