Reduced NK cell infiltration or impaired NK cell functions have been linked to poor overall patient survival and a higher relapse rate of CRC after treatment (36–38).Moreover, RIP3, a central adaptor of receptor-interacting protein kinase 3, has been shown to accelerate the progression of colitis-associated CRC by suppressing the infiltration of cytotoxic lymphocytes (35). The gene discussed is RIPK3; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
