ALB and atrial fibrillation: Furthermore, the HALP score had a sensitivity of 0.510, a specificity of 0.654, and an AUC of 0.610 for predicting cardiovascular disease prognosis, outperforming albumin, lymphocyte, and platelet levels alone.[12] Karakayali et al conducted a study on patients with CAD and found that the HALP score was independently associated with in-hospital mortality, as determined by Cox proportional hazards analysis.[13] In our other study investigating the prognostic significance of PIV and HALP scores in critically ill patients with and without AF, both scores were significantly associated with AF.
