AKT1 and cancer: FN, a phytoestrogen derived from red clover, plays important roles in disease management by regulating inflammation, angiogenesis, the cell cycle, and apoptosis.[37] It has been reported that FN can regulate different signal transduction pathways in cancer, such as transcriptional signal transduction and activator factor 3 (STAT3), phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/Akt), and mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK), to exert its antitumor effects.[38] However, the therapeutic potential of FN in GC has not been reported.
