Previous findings corroborate our hypothesis that PRP could reduce the loss of alveolar bone in rats with ligature-induced periodontitis by promoting osteoblastic differentiation and reducing osteoclast activation via reducing the expression of RANKL, a molecule related to osteoclastogenesis (Wang et al., 2018, Elgamily and Denewar, 2021, Ceresa et al., 2024).
