BRCA1 and breast carcinoma: Of 116 women who were aged 60 years and older, 16 (13.7%) were found to have a P/LP mutation of BRCA1 and BRCA2. The prevalence of BRCA1 and BRCA2 P/LP of 4.8% reported in our series of 2401 patients is comparable to what has been reported in other reports of universal genetic testing in women with breast cancer.9,10
