Autoimmune disease was ruled out when the laboratory reported negative serologies for vasculitis, antiphospholipid syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. The approach to polyarteritis nodosa was carried out, with muscular and skin biopsy being negative, tests for Hepatitis B and C being negative, and a serological profile for vasculitis being negative, ruling out the diagnosis. Here, PPIB is linked to vasculitis.
