We then characterized the ES- vs. synaptic-GluN2B subunit expression between WT and AD mice in the midbrain and cortex for both age cohorts and found significant increase in ES-GluN2B in old AD mice as compared to WT (ctx, ANOVA, p = 0.002, F (1, 12) = 12.9, n ≥ 4; mb, ANOVA, p < 0.001, F (1, 12) = 26.71, n ≥ 4; Figures 3C,D). This evidence concerns the gene GRIN2B and Alzheimer disease.
