In this study, silybin was shown to alleviate post-myocardial infarction heart failure by downregulating HIF-1α expression and inhibiting its nuclear translocation, which, in turn, reduces the HIF-1α-mediated upregulation of key glycolytic enzymes (PFKFB3, GLUT1, LDHA). Here, SLC2A1 is linked to myocardial infarction.
