In multivariate stepwise regression analysis in all PCOS cases, 2 h insulin in the OGTT was a significant positive predictor of DHEAS (p = 0.0001), independent of age and BMI, and it remained significantly correlated with DHEAS in stepwise linear regression models adjusted for age, BMI, 2 h blood glucose and TT or FAI (p = 0.0001 and p = 0.009, respectively) (Table 4).
