The HDAC inhibitor M344 [4-(dimethylamino)-N-(7-(hydroxyamino)-7-oxoheptyl)benzamide] was shown by our lab to act as a multi-faceted therapy for the treatment of a pancreatic cancer mouse model, and treatment with M344 decreased the proliferation and viability of several neural-derived pediatric cancer cell types in studies by others [26,27,28]. The gene discussed is HDAC9; the disease is cancer.
