IQGAP2 and stroke disorder: Dargazanli et al. [34] identified 438 different expressed proteins clustered in pathways related to metabolism, cell adhesion, and leukocyte activation, identifying three proteins, eIF2 subunit 3, Ras GTPase-activating-like protein IQGAP2, and coagulation factor XIII, with a significant ability to differentiate between stroke subtypes, correctly classifying cardioembolic (CE) and large artery atherosclerosis (LAA) stroke groups with 88% accuracy using mass spectrometry.
