INS and hyperinsulinism: Langlais et al.’s 2022 index-based observational study of the Cancer of the Prostate Strategic Urologic Research Endeavor [34] revealed a positive association between high-inflammatory, hyperinsulinaemic, and insulin-resistant dietary patterns (Empirical Dietary Inflammation Pattern, Empirical Dietary Index for Hyperinsulinemia, and Empirical Dietary Index for Insulin Resistance) and decreased time to prostate cancer progression defined as biochemical recurrence, secondary treatment, or bone metastases.
