PTH(7-33)-CBD and [W2]PTH(1-33)-CBD significantly reduced tumor burden and osteolytic bone destruction in preclinical models, and also induced apoptosis of breast cancer cells in vitro and inhibited cyclic AMP accumulation in osteosarcoma cells [13] comparable to the activity of the parent compound PTH(7-34). The gene discussed is PTH; the disease is breast carcinoma.
