The protein levels of ERα (0.500 ± 0.205 vs. 1.053 ± 0.067, p = 0.011) and ERβ (0.750 ± 0.123 vs. 1.320 ± 0.219, p = 0.017) were significantly lower in the PCOS group compared to the control group. This evidence concerns the gene ESR2 and polycystic ovary syndrome.
