CD4 and Cryptococcal meningitis: Similar findings were observed by Bjerrum and her colleagues in 2019.19 From Table 3, a greater proportion (77.4%) of those who were eligible for LF-LAM test had CD4 count less than 200 cells/mm3, according to WHO definition for AHD and therefore recommended a package of care for such patients, which included screening, management and prophylactic treatment of opportunistic infections such as TB, cryptococcal meningitis, toxoplasmosis, et cetera.20
