While previous work has employed CagA as the target gene for HP detection and typing using RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a technology (Dai et al., 2022; Zhu et al., 2023), our study represents the first successful implementation of a LAMP-CRISPR/Cas12b platform targeting this gene, thereby enabling simultaneous HP identification and gastric cancer risk assessment. Here, S100A8 is linked to gastric cancer.
